FINAL PROJECT
For my final project I decided to document a private jet. My
father works for Dassault Falcon Jet, it is a French company that sells and
manufactures airplanes and airplane parts. The jet that I was able to photograph
was a brand new plane. It had just arrived at the hanger when I was there; the
plane has never even been flown. When you first walk onto the plane you would
be greeted by a woman who would welcome you aboard, than you would sit in a
comfortable leather seat either with a table in front of you, that you could
either eat a full meal on or get some work done on your lab top. Or just
enjoying the comfort of being able to relax, and enjoy a nice glass of wine.
Once
you are seated, the pilot comes onto the plane and greats you and tells you
when you will land and to sit back and relax. Taking a private jet anywhere
that you would like is a luxury that most of us don’t have the opportunity to
abuse. Having my dad work at this company does not mean that I can fly anywhere
I want. I have never been flying in one of these planes but it doesn’t mean
that it may happen in the future.
Taking
these photos and being out on the runway was a great experience and I will
probably do more because having the connection that I have is not one that most
people have these days.
