Once Upon A Time

FINAL PROJECT

               For my final project I decided to document a private jet. My father works for Dassault Falcon Jet, it is a French company that sells and manufactures airplanes and airplane parts. The jet that I was able to photograph was a brand new plane. It had just arrived at the hanger when I was there; the plane has never even been flown. When you first walk onto the plane you would be greeted by a woman who would welcome you aboard, than you would sit in a comfortable leather seat either with a table in front of you, that you could either eat a full meal on or get some work done on your lab top. Or just enjoying the comfort of being able to relax, and enjoy a nice glass of wine.

            Once you are seated, the pilot comes onto the plane and greats you and tells you when you will land and to sit back and relax. Taking a private jet anywhere that you would like is a luxury that most of us don’t have the opportunity to abuse. Having my dad work at this company does not mean that I can fly anywhere I want. I have never been flying in one of these planes but it doesn’t mean that it may happen in the future.

            Taking these photos and being out on the runway was a great experience and I will probably do more because having the connection that I have is not one that most people have these days.

My Hometown OBSESSION

As I have states before Highland Lakes will always and forever be my home. I would not want to grow up any other place. As you can see in these pictures it is a beautiful place to be all year round. During the winter it is peaceful and quiet and nothing ever disturbs you. Although the winters are bad, but that means that school is usually closed :)! The spring is colorful and full of life, the fall is the same way. The summers are full of children running around and this is a place where shoes are not recommended. 

I got really lucky with the way that I had taken these photos, I did not have to do any editing to them at all. :)

Obsession Preview

In the summer time Highland Lakes is full of life, young children running around, no one ever wears shoes, and bathing suits are usually the clothing of choice. During the winter months, Highland Lakes is cold and empty, quiet and peaceful. Boats are hoisted up on wracks to be stored for the winter and docks are brought to the shallow areas for the winter months ahead. But somethings are forgotten about, boats may be left in the water, and some docks are left out in the deep to endure what Mother winter has to offer. No matter what time of the year it is though, Highland Lakes will always have someone on or in the water. When the lake freezes over it is great for ice fishing, and even ice sailing. No matter what time of the year it is Highland Lakes will always be my getaway from reality.
